Incoming
The Faculty of Communication and Public Relations within the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, Bucharest, Romania was established in 1998 and offers one of the best programs in communication and public relations in Romania.
The Faculty of Communication and Public Relations offers Ensglish-thaught courses for incoming students in the fields of Communication, Public relations, Advertising, Project Management and EU Affairs. These courses are part of five study programs: four MA programs (Digital Communication and Innovation, Communication and EU Affairs, Communication and Advertising and Project Management) and one BA program (Communication and Emerging Media).
STUDENTS
The courses are designed to align to with current trends in communication theory and practice, providing core and specialized courses in areas such as: communication and public relations, human resources, project management, organizational communication, political communication, new media, advertising, and more.

Academic calendar
1st semester (the Autumn semester) - starts on October 1st & ends in mid February
2nd semester (the Spring semester) - starts at the end of February & ends in mid June
Deadlines for nomination
Partner universities are required to send nominations by email to [email protected]. For the fall semester and full academic year, nominations should be submitted by June 15. For the spring semester, the nomination deadline is November 15.
Deadlines for applications
Incoming Erasmus students have to fill in the application form and the learning agreement. These documents have to be sent to the Erasmus Office, Faculty of Communication and Public Relations (FCPR) no later than July, 15 (incoming students for the 1st semester), and December, 15 (incoming students for the 2nd semester).
Practical information for incoming students
Orientation
The Erasmus Office provides support to incoming students for both administrative and academic matters. Before classes begin, we host an orientation session designed to help students navigate essential administrative procedures for their mobility. This session also serves as a networking opportunity, connecting new international students with each other and with former Erasmus participants through our Erasmus ambassador program. Accommodation
Estimated cost of the rent: privately rented flat 350-500 EUR/month for one bedroom flat and 450-800/month for a two-bedrooms flat; facilities (privately rented accommodation) 100-200 EUR/month. Students are encouraged to look for accommodation prior to their arrival. They are welcomed to ask for guidance by emailing our Erasmus office (we may provide a list of private residences for students) or to contact the local Erasmus Student Network. Also, during the orientation week assistance is provided for those who wish to seek for a room to rent.
Medical services & insurance
In Bucharest, there is a vast network of specialized hospitals, health centers, physician offices of all specialties, as well as dental clinics. Students from EU member states entitled to a temporary stay in Romania should carry a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) issued in their home country. If obtaining this card is not possible, students will need to arrange for individual health insurance.
Visas
Citizens of EU countries do not require a student visa to enter Romania. They can enter Romania with an ID document (a valid travel document e.g. passport, or another document certifying identity and citizenship).
Non-European Union Citizens are required to apply for a student visa and a private health insurance prior to leaving their home country. Applications should be made at your nearest Romanian Consulate. For further information on visa regulations, please check the Romanian Foreign Affairs' Ministry website (www.mae.ro).
Library
The books and journals available at the faculty library (main building, ground floor) cover areas such as communication studies, advertising & public relations, political science and political communication, sociology, philosophy, critical theory. Students may access international databases from computers located within the faculty premises. Incoming students can explore the library's online catalog and use their student ID to create a library account and obtain a librabry card that enables them to borrow books.
Romanian language course
A Romanian language and culture course is available for incoming students throughout the academic year. The course has 5 ECTS credits and it is organized if a minimum enrollment threshold is met.
